EasySPACER – innovative, PEEK cervical vertebral body prosthesis
LfC Company, following the spirit of its motto, "Measuring up to nature" introduced into the market long expected cervical vertebral body prosthesis. The prosthesis, popularly called "cervical spacer" is made of the latest type of a highly durable, special polymer – PEEK. It’s elastic properties, by a properly experimentally chosen design, are even closer to elastic properties of compact bone. The combination of the biomaterial and design of -eSpacer predisposes the implant to enhanced fulfilling of load-bearing biomechanical functions of removed spinal fragment.

EBT - AN IMPORTANT STEP IN THE SYSTEM SUPPORTING SURGICAL TREATMENT OF THE SPINE
LfC Company, fulfilling its philosophy "measuring up to nature" and striving to improve the quality of their services, introduced to practical use the hi-tech, Electron Beam Technology (EBT).
EBT is one of the most advanced technologies. It is based on the melting and bonding of biometal powders into three-dimensional structures, using the electron beam. The whole technological process is carried out at 700° C, while the titanium sintering process reaches the temperature of 2000° C. This technology saves time and material used for the production of models and implants. It simultaneously gives opportunity to imitate very complicated, difficult to identify anatomical shapes.

LfC: to be competitive today, and to measure up to nature tomorrow
The innovative company LfC, founded by Lechosław F. Ciupik, creates and produces methods and measures for spine treatment. In order to establish and reinforce its position, it had to become competitive on the market. It chose the path of co-creating surgery by contributing the idea, conducting research, implementing bio-engineering hightech, and introducing new surgical methods. It sold the know-how to the United States, including the patent, and created its own IP management system. The President of the company, Lechosław F. Ciupik, repeats: “In order for LfC to be present on the market tomorrow, we need to be ahead of time.” The future of the company has been created with the new LfC philosophy “Measuring up to nature,” which has been implemented for a year.

Measuring up to nature
Advanced bioengineering in spine surgery
Nature continues to delight and amaze us and is still unrivalled. The human body is a recognised example of perfection and an ideal of beauty. Man is a perfect whole, which harmoniously combines the body and the senses that allow us to perceive the beauty of the world. We often fail to appreciate the joy of the human being’s wholeness given to us by nature. We are able to understand it better when a disease, an accident or the aging process takes our natural fitness away from us and brings us pain and suffering.

Innovation underpinned by advanced research
LfC’s antidote to economic crisis"If you do not go forward and do not move ahead of others you fall behind." LfC has practised this motto for over 20 years now – since 1989. No business has a chance to exist, survive the crisis, expand and achieve success on today’s free and competitive market without full commitment and focused activities conducted on a large scale and at a fast pace. Only those who are able to cope even at a time of crisis know how much it takes to be a world leader.
